ONGC-VIDESH To Go Ahead to SEARCH OIL IN SOUTH CHINA SEA

ONGC with  a Vietnamese company will start a joint exploration for oil in the
South China Sea despite objections from China
as told by its senior offical.

China has been objecting to any activity in the South China Sea region which includes
 Indian oil exploration as it has territorial disputes with ASEAN countries like
Vietnam and the Philippines.

ONGC would set up a Rs 500-crore gas based fertilizer unit at Khobal in
North Tripura district for which six investors have expressed interest.

The aim of this plant of setting this plant will be to meet the requirements of
 of the north eastern states and Bangladesh
